Unit One: The Powers That Be
For this unit, we will be exploring the theme, "The Powers That Be." The essential question for this unit is: What are the principles of a just society? Specifically, we will be studying theme, textual evidence, annotations, and more. We will introduce/practice the TEEAS paragraph writing format. The beginning of the unit starts with the basics of writing and moves towards short analytic paragraphs about the texts we read in class. The unit will end with a research project addressing the unit theme.
